The Vaillant sensoCOMFORT wired system controller (VRC720, part no. 0020260921) is Vaillant's flagship control for complex heating systems. Weather compensation comes as standard with the supplied outdoor sensor, it manages up to five wired heating circuits independently, and it's the control Vaillant specify for heat pump installations, underfloor heating systems, hybrid setups, and any project where you're running more than one zone.

Weather compensation as standard — not an add-on

Unlike the sensoHOME, which needs an outdoor sensor added to unlock weather compensation, the sensoCOMFORT VRC720 ships with the sensor and enables weather comp out of the box. This matters most on heat pump installations, where running weather compensation is essential for achieving the SCOP figures the manufacturer quotes. The sensoCOMFORT continuously adjusts the flow temperature to match outdoor conditions — lower on milder days, slightly higher when it's cold — keeping the heat source running at its most efficient operating point rather than firing hard and cycling.

Compatibility and wiring centres

Compatible with all current Vaillant eBUS boilers and heat pumps. For multi-zone installations, pair with the VR71 wiring centre (first 3 circuits) and VR70 for additional zones. For pre-2018 eBUS boilers, a VRA42 adaptor may be required.
