What's in the box

The sensoROOM pure (VRT51F) is Vaillant's entry-level wireless room thermostat. It communicates via eBUS — not a simple on/off signal — so it modulates the boiler rather than just switching it, keeping the system running efficiently even though the interface is deliberately simple. There's a dial to set temperature and a Quick Veto button for a one-hour boost. No programmer, no menus. The myVAILLANT connect gateway (VR940f) plugs into the boiler and your home network, bridging the thermostat to the myVAILLANT app on any iOS or Android device.

Compatibility

Requires a Vaillant eBUS combi boiler (ecoTEC plus, ecoTEC pro, ecoFIT pure, ecoFIT sustain). The VR940f gateway connects via the CIM port on current ecoTEC plus models — no separate power supply needed. For older eBUS boilers (2006 onwards), a VRA42 adaptor may be required.
