The Vaillant myVAILLANT connect internet gateway (VR940f, part no. 0010037346) is the current Vaillant internet gateway, used with the myVAILLANT app. It adds remote app control, scheduling, energy monitoring and smart home integration to any compatible Vaillant senso thermostat or VRC700 controller — including retrofitting to existing installations.

What the VR940f does

On its own, none of the Vaillant senso thermostats communicate with a phone. The VR940f is the bridge: it plugs into the boiler's CIM port and your home network, then connects the existing control to the myVAILLANT cloud. From there, the homeowner gets scheduling via the app, a live energy dashboard, geofencing and holiday mode controls, and voice control via Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The gateway doesn't change how the thermostat or boiler operate — it just adds a remote control layer on top of the existing eBUS modulating control.

myVAILLANT connect vs sensoNET — which gateway?

There are two Vaillant gateways currently available. The VR940f (this product) is the current gateway and uses the myVAILLANT app. The older sensoNET (VR921) uses the separate sensoAPP and is only required if the installation includes ambiSENSE smart radiator valves. For any new installation without ambiSENSE, the VR940f is the correct choice.
