Description
The Megaflo Eco SystemReady 170SB is a 170-litre indirect unvented hot water cylinder built for system boiler installations. It provides all the performance of the Megaflo Eco range with the addition of factory-fitted plumbing and wiring — reducing installation time and delivering a consistently neat finish.
Factory fitted on the cylinder:
- Immersion heater (1 × 3kW) with thermal controls — cylinder thermostat and high-limit overheat cut-out, pre-wired
- Temperature & pressure relief valve — set at 90°C / 10 bar (BS EN 1490), with T&P insulation kit fitted
- 15/22mm tundish — factory fitted
- Wiring centre and 22mm 2-port motorised valve — pre-fitted and wired
- Internal floating baffle expansion vessel — built into the cylinder shell; no separate external expansion vessel required
Supplied with the cylinder — fitted on site by installer:
- Cold water inlet control kit comprising: 3 bar (0.3 MPa) pressure reducing valve, 8 bar (0.8 MPa) pressure relief valve (BS EN 1567, BS EN 1491, EN 13959), ¼-turn isolating valve, line strainer, non-return valve, drain valve
Installer connects on site:
- Cold mains supply to cylinder inlet (via supplied inlet control kit)
- Hot water outlet to distribution pipework
- Primary flow and return from system boiler
- Tundish discharge pipe to a compliant termination point (Building Regs Part G)
- 230V electrical supply to wiring centre
