The 22mm × ¾" End Feed Straight Cylinder Union connects 22mm copper to a ¾" BSP male boss with a swivel union nut — soldered capillary joint on the copper end, threaded union on the other. The union lets the pipework be disconnected without unsoldering, which is why it's the standard connection onto hot water cylinders and immersion pipework. Manufactured to BS EN 1254 and fits copper tube to BS EN 1057.
